System Admin Overview

System Administration allows access to set up and maintain system configuration.

	Locales	Locales are derived from the base operating system and are used to provide basic system information. In particular the language set and text direction are key aspects.
	Table Register	The Concept Evolution system is based on a large back end database. There are a wide range of functions that can be altered within the Table register; these include; how the text in the drop down menus are displayed or allowing hazards and documents to be associated. It is also the gateway to define compulsory or unique fields that are linked with each table.
	Translation Strings	Translation Strings form the many thousands of labels from across the database. These can be altered to fit a business need.
	Translation Sets	Concept Evolution can be configured to handle multiple languages. These are managed using the Translation Sets.
	Database	The creation and configuration of a new Concept Evolution Database is done by FSI and your database administrator.
	System Printer	To enable Print Redirection, System Printers need to be installed.
	Print Redirection	Concept Evolution allows automated re-direction and printing of reports and job cards within the system.
	Caches	Caching is effectively the web server getting a local copy of the core rules and labels and keeping them handy. The driving force for this is that these elements don’t change very often. When they do, the web server’s cached needs to be cleared so it will retrieve an updated list.
	Server	The creation and configuration of a new servers done by FSI and your database administrator. This list of Servers can be viewed here.
	Queries	Queries are one of the key tools of data filtering. While Concept Evolution has quick search and column specific filtering on grids; queries allow a User to narrow data in other ways e.g. Show all those tasks that are still active or assigned or all non-urgent calls logged today.
	System Information	The System Information screen is a read only screen that provides Concept Evolution version information.
	Repositories	The Document Management functionality within Concept Evolution operates as a dedicated point of attachment and review for all documents attached to entities such as Assets, Buildings, Locations, Suppliers, etc. The Concept Evolution System Administrator can determine which entities may have Documents assigned. These Documents will be stored in a defined Repository either in the database, or outside of Concept Evolution.
	File Types	Concept Evolution uses the standard MS Windows (T) MIME Types to enable documents to be opened seamlessly.
	User Accounts	The set up and maintenance of an individual User Account, including adding Licences, and permissions.
	Accounts Policy	The set up and maintenance of User Password policy.
	Roles	The set up and maintenance of User Roles - for granting permissions to groups of Users.
	Sessions	The monitoring of current Users logged into the system.
	Stylesheets	Stylesheets can be used to set the look and formatting of Concept Reach and Concept Connect.
	Exchange Server Preferences	Concept Evolution Facilities Booking module supports a connection to a Microsoft Exchange Server in order to sync meetings booked in Concept with attendees’ calendars.
	eSight Energy Preferences	Concept Evolution can be integrated with eSight Energy.
	General Preferences	General Preferences allow the set up of some generic system preferences.
	Time Zones	Set Time zones for use with the Time Zone Module
	Data Connections	Data Connections are used for connection to third party databases.
	SMTP Server Settings	The SMTP Server Settings in Concept Evolution are for the forgotten password feature.
