Project Task Groups
Task Groups allows a Project to be organised together into groups e.g. Phase One, Phase Two. This makes the tracking and monitoring of a project easier. Once Task Groups have been set up individual Project Tasks can be created and managed to show Resource time and finance detail.
Modules > Projects > Project - Tasks Groups
The link will open the Project / Tasks Groups grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.
To add a new Tasks Group click New , to edit an existing Tasks Group click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Tasks Group
Name |
The name of the Project Task Group. |
Description |
The description of the Project Task Group. |
Estimates |
All estimate Costs are a calculation of the combined estimated Project Task costs within the Project Task Group. |
Start Date |
Auto calculated with the estimated start date of the Project Task Group. |
Finish Date |
Auto calculated with the estimated finish date of the Project Task Group. |
Material |
Auto calculated with the estimated material costs of the Project Task Group. |
Labour Cost |
Auto calculated with the estimated labour costs of the Project Task Group. |
Total Est. Time |
Auto calculated with the estimated total time of the Ttasks within the Project Task Group. |
Actuals |
All actual costs are a calculation of the combined actual Project Task costs within the Project Task Group. |
Start Date |
Auto calculated with the actual start time of the Project Task Group. |
Finish Date |
Auto calculated with the actual finish time of the Project Task Group. |
PO Cost |
Auto calculated with the actual PO cost of the Project Task Group. |
Expenses |
Auto calculated with the actual expenses of the Project Task Group. |
Stock Cost |
Auto calculated with the actual stock costs of the Project Task Group. |
Labour Cost |
Auto calculated with the actual labour costs of the Project Task Group |
Complete the fields and click Save . Once the Project Task Group header has been completed and saved a sub navigation will appear to allow additional entities to be assigned.

Project Tasks are the individual elements of a project that need to be competed, these could be anything from meeting and project management time to the Tasks that physically need completing within the Project.
