PPM Planner

The PPM Planner in MRI Evolution provides a graphical means for viewing, planning and rescheduling dormant PPM Tasks to ensure most efficient use of Resources and to aid in viewing for any upcoming scheduling challenges.

When the PPM Planner is initially launched, it will open in a new window with a blank grid.

The PPM Planner only shows Dormant PPMs, once a PPM has been issued it will disappear from the Planner and be viewable in Tasks.

The PPM Planner can be filtered to make the view of the Planner easier to manage and view. A minimum filter of Contract Group or Contract must be applied.

The PPM Planner Filter bar is on the right hand side of the planner, this panel can be displayed or hidden by clicking on the dark grey bar halfway up.

Users will not be able to select a Contract with a Contract Type of Triage Only in the Contract filter.

Support has been added to the PPM Planner for PPMs with a Daily frequency:

• Daily PPMs are displayed with a icon

• New Days frequency added to the Legend

• Days of the week added to the hover tooltip

• Hours Required and % Committed footer calculations have been updated:

  • The Hours Required for Daily PPMs is based on the Estimated Time of the PPM multiplied by the number of Tasks that would be generated within that week

  • Calculations for % Committed use the adjusted Estimated Time for Daily PPMs

• The numbers along the top of the window indicate the week numbers with the date of the first Monday in the Month.
• Hovering the mouse cursor over a specific week number will display the date of the Monday of that week.
• Pink and Yellow coloured Row Headers indicate Assets in the same Task Family. A change in colour indicates either a change in the Asset or the Family of the PPM.
• Tasks frequencies will alter the colour of PPMs displayed in the Planner. The number displayed in each instance of a Weekly, Monthly or Yearly PPM indicates the frequency:
  • Red = Weekly
  • Blue = Monthly
  • Green = Yearly
  • Purple = Seasonal
  • Black = Suspended
• Hours Required will show the number of hours required to complete the PPMs. Supplier Hours shows the number of hours available per week (calculated from Rotas). The last row shows what the percentage of available hours that would need to be committed to Tasks for that week.
• A single PPM my be rescheduled by clicking and dragging the PPM horizontally on the same Line.
• A single PPM may be dropped by right clicking on the PPM and selecting Drop Dormant Record. Available from 4.5.6.0
• A single PPM can be deleted by right clicking on the PPM and selecting Delete Dormant Record. Available from 4.5.6.0
• A single PPM may be added by right clicking on a white space on the line and selecting Add.

Icon	Feature	Description
	Refresh	Click to refresh the Planner. There are two instances of this button but they have the same effect.
	Clear Filter	Click to clear any applied filters in the right-hand filter panel.
	Previous Page	Allows the User to scroll back to the Previous Page of records.
	Next Page	Allows the User to scroll forward to the Next Page of records.
	Previous	Allows the User to scroll X number of days, weeks, months or years in the past, depending on the numeric value selected in the dropdown.
	Next	Allows the User to scroll X number of days, weeks, months or years in the future, depending on the numeric value selected in the dropdown.
	Shift PPMs Back	Allows the User to shift the selected rows of PPMs backwards by the number of weeks entered.
	Shift PPMs Forwards	Allows the User to shift the selected rows of PPMs forwards by the number of weeks entered.
	Rollback	A pop up window will appear which will allow the User to roll back or undo previous actions to the point of last save or build.
	Adjust PPM Lock	When one or more lines have been selected by checking the adjacent check box and this Icon is clicked it will allow the User to adjust the Lock status of a Task(s). For more information see Task Lock Status. Available from 4.3.0
	Change PPM Status	Available from 4.5.0 Select the line / lines to change a PPMs status. There are three generic states: Active - the PPM is active and running. Suspended - the PPM is temporarily not required and will show suspended in the PPM Planner. History - the PPM is no longer required and will not be viewable in the PPM Planner. Note: In versions prior to 4.5.0 a PPM could be suspended and reinstated using Suspend PPM and Resume PPM .
	Assign Resource to selected PPM	Click to pre assign a PPM consistently to the same Resource, a pop up window will appear allowing the Resource to be selected.
	Show Family Task Override	Click to view which PPMs will be issued, any Tasks that will be overridden by Family Task Override will be hidden in this view.
	Show tooltips	Click to enable a pop window when hoovering over a PPM.
	Show PPM Charts	Click to view Task quantities, Resource usage and Resource requirements charts.
	Print PPM Plan	Click to print the PPM Planner.
	Export PPM Plan	Click to export the PPM Planner as a .csv file.
	Toggle colouring PPMs by Compliance Type	Click to toggle the PPM planner to the Compliance Type colouration, click again to return to the standard view. For more information on set up see Compliance Types. Available from 4.3.0
	Show Legend	Click to see the legend for the colouration of PPMs in the PPM Planner. Available from 6.3.0.0 A new frequency of Days has been added.
	User Preferences	Available from 4.5.6.0 Click to set PPM Planner User Preferences Set which filter preferences are to be seen from Contract, Contract Group and System Query Set which Totals can be seen from Hours required, Primary Supplier Hours and % Committed Assign the required filters, set the order of the filters using Move First , Move Up , Move Down and Move Last

Complete the required changes and close the window.
