WIP Overview

Work in Progress or WIP is a means of gathering costs for all Tasks that are currently being undertaken. It is defined as the projected costs of outstanding works.

Within MRI Evolution WIP mirrors the functionality within the Sales Invoicing module, using Sales Invoicing Rule Groups to gather costs and report’s and grids to show the projected outcomes. WIP data can be generated on demand (against a Task) or in bulk (by generating a Batch) and can include both data for costs and sales.

This enables accurate data to be generated on both projected costs and sales.

	Sales Invoicing Rule Group	Sales Invoice Rule Groups are used to generate accurate financial values for work in progress (WIP). The Invoice Type can be set to "Cost" and the Collections and Calculations must gather the current cost values of open Tasks.
	Sales Invoice Batch Generation	Cost Invoices can be generated in batches
	Sales Invoice Batches	Cost Invoices Batches can be viewed from Sales Invoice Batches
	Costs Invoice	Cost Invoices shows a grid view of all Cost Invoices
	WIP Tasks Collection Template	WIP Task Templates collect both Tasks and rule groups together for use in the WIP Grids and Reports.
	Generate Task Cost Type Breakdowns	WIP Task Cost information must be generated. This is done using a date range and WIP Tasks Collection Template.
	Task WIP Grid	The Task WIP Grid shows all Tasks that have WIP cost Breakdown information.
	Advanced Helpdesk - WIP Cost Breakdowns	From the Advanced Helpdesk WIP Information can be viewed, regenerated and the WIP report can be printed.
