Asset Type

An Asset Type is the third level down in the grouping of Assets. For example, If the Asset Tag Is Air Conditioning, Asset Types may be used to break down the components such as condenser units, control panels and units.

To create Assets see Assets

The list of Asset Types is maintained here.

Settings > Assets > Assets Types

The link will open the Asset Type grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Asset Type click New , to edit and existing Asset Type click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of an Asset Type.

Field Name	Description
Reference	The code of the Asset Type.
Type	The description of the Asset Type.
Tag	From the drop down select the Asset Tag - if the Asset Type is not connected to an Asset Tag, the Type will not be available on creation of the Asset.

Complete the fields and click Save and Close .
