Element Classification Groups
Available from 6.5.0.0
Using combinations of Element Classification Groups and Element Classifications records, users can re-create the structure defined in an existing building classification system or create their own bespoke classification system.
The most prominent example of a classification system for all sectors of the UK construction industry is Uniclass 2015 but there are similar ones such as Omniclass and UniFormat in the U.S. and Canada.
For example, a Uniclass system for roofs is arranged in groups with subgroups which are sub divided, which leads to the final object code. For instance:
Code | Name/Description | MRI Evolution Classification Level |
---|---|---|
SS_30 | Roof, floor and paving systems | Element Classification Group |
SS_30_10 | Pitched, arched and domed roof structure systems | Element Classification - Level 1 - Parent |
SS_30_10_30 | Framed roof structure systems | Element Classification - Level 2 - Child |
SS_30_10_30_25 | Heavy steel roof framing systems | Element Classification - Level 3 - Grandchild |
Element Classification Groups and Element Classifications can be linked to existing Asset Classification records.
