Areas

Available from 4.4.5

Areas link together many Locations for filtering and reporting purposes. They are in hierarchical structure with Area Types as the top level of the hierarchy.

They can also be associated with PMS Core Values for use in PayMech calculations.

Facilities > Property and Estates > Areas

The link will open the Areas grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.

To add a new Area click New , to edit an existing Area click Edit . A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of an Area.

Field Name	Description
Name	The Area name.
Description	The Area description.
Type	From the drop down select the Area Type - for more information see Area Types
Net Usable Space	The usable space for the Area.
Total Location Usable Space	Auto-calculated with the Total Usable Space of all Locations within the Area.
Latitude	The Latitude of the Area,
Longitude	The Longitude of the Area.
Elevation	The elevation of the Area.
GIS Reference	Geographical Information System description.
External System	Free format text for use with BIM applications.
External Object	Free format text for use with BIM applications.
External Identifier	Free format text for use with BIM applications.

Complete the fields and click Save . Once the Area header has been completed and saved a sub navigation will appear to allow additional entities to be assigned.
