Cost Codes
Cost Codes represent elements of Costs that can be associated with Cost Centres. A single Cost Code may constitute an element of Cost against more than one Cost Centre. For example, Cost Codes for reactive and planned maintenance may be used to monitor how much each Building or Department is spending on their upkeep.
To create Cost Centres see Cost Centres
The list of Cost Codes is maintained here.
Settings > Finance > Cost Codes
The link will open the Cost Code grid. It is a grid view which can be searched, sorted and customised as normal.
To add a new Cost Code click New 
, to edit an existing Cost Code click Edit 
. A pop up window will appear which will allow the creation or amendment of a Cost Code.
Click to view Cost Code Fields and Descriptions
Complete the fields and click Save 
.
Once the Cost Code has been completed and saved a Cost Centre sub navigation will appear to allow additional entities to be assigned and completed.

Cost Codes can be assigned to Cost Centres. This sub navigation contains a grid of Cost Centres that the current Cost Code has been assigned to.

The link will open the Cost Centre/ Cost Code grid, it is a grid that can be sorted and customised as normal.
To assign Cost Codes to a Cost Centre, click Assign 
, entities in the right hand assignment window are connected.
